412 Youth Are Headed Southwest on a Mission!
Enola First Church of God’s 412 Youth Group is planning a mission trip June 29 to July 6, 2019. Numerous youth along with several leaders will travel to Gamerco, NM to work with people connected to the Churches of God’s Southwest Ministries. 412 Youth members will assist with a Vacation Bible School intended to reach the Navajo people. They will also interact and minister to the youth of our Southwest Ministries. Additionally, they will take part in small projects in the Gamerco community and minister to the needs of missionaries Devin and Tabitha Dillinger.
Each youth member participating will pay for a portion of his or her own trip expenses. In order to fully finance this endeavor, several steps are happening. First, the Administrative Board has allocated resources directly to 412 Youth. Second, the Board has given the Youth permission to hold several fundraisers. As you probably know, they have already sold some fantastic fudge and delicious jam. A benefit concert featuring Codie Reed will be held February 8 in the Fellowship Hall. Mark your calendars for a March 8 spaghetti supper followed by a movie. Youth will also be making and selling Easter eggs in April. Third, individuals are invited to support the youth directly. See a youth leader for more information if you are interested.
So let’s keep our 412 Youth and leaders in our prayers. This trip has the potential to transform many lives for Jesus Christ – the lives of the Navajo people along with others in the Southwest AND the lives of our very own youth. Stay tuned for more updates as the youth prepare to head southwest on a mission!
Note: At this time the team is full; no additional persons are needed to participate.
