What We Believe About...

GOD

-We believe God is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19) Who exists as and manifests Himself

in the three Persons of the Father (Ephesians 4:4-6), Son (John 1:1), and Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-5).

JESUS CHRIST

-We believe in the Personality and Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; truly God and truly man (John 1;1, 14).  We believe that He was virgin-born (Luke 1:26-37), crucified , dead and buried, and that He rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3-5) and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father (Hebrews 12:2).

THE HOLY SPIRIT

-We believe in the Personality and Deity of the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4) Who dwells in every true Christian (Romans 8:9) and is ever present to testify of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 16:7-8).

THE BIBLE

-We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and is our rule of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16).

HUMANITY

-We believe humanity is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27).  However, everyone is born with a sinful nature (Romans 3:23).

SALVATION

-We believe salvation comes by grace through faith by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  By His death on the cross, Jesus paid the price for our sins so that we can be forgiven of our sins and be reconciled to God.  (Ephesians 2:8-9).

FREE MORAL AGENCY

-We believe that people have free will:  free will to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (Joshua 24:15) and free will as believers to turn away from God and be lost (Hebrews 6:4-6).

THE ORDINANCES OF THE CHURCH

-We believe in the ordinances of believer’s baptism (Acts 2:38), the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-26), and Feetwashing (John 13:1-17). 

LAST THINGS

-We believe in the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18) of the church and the glorious return of Jesus Christ to earth (Revelation 19:11-16).
